Summer Research Studentships

Studentships are research opportunities for students. They include:
- co-op student placements
- practicum placements
- other supervised summer student research projects
We accept applications for summer studentships until mid-March. For more information or to apply, email BCMHSUS_Research@phsa.ca.
Eligibility
- Current undergraduate student or medical student registered at a recognized university
- Undergraduate students graduating in spring/summer can apply if they are a registered student at the time they apply
- Primary supervisor is a BCMHSUS investigator. The supervisor’s area of research is about improving the mental health and well-being of British Columbians
- Out-of-province and international applicants are welcome to apply. You will need:
- the proper work/student permit
- a Social Insurance Number from Service Canada
Funding
Our summer studentships are funded by BCMHSUS (the Provincial Health Services Authority).
We provide salary support for a 37.5 hour work week, for up to 12 weeks between May and August. The supervisor can choose to supplement the amount and duration of the award. The role of summer student is full time. Students cannot hold other jobs or positions that compete with their research time.
