Heartwood Centre for Women Careers
The Heartwood Centre for Women provides integrated treatment for women (19+), including members of Two-Spirit and gender-diverse communities, across BC who struggle with severe substance use and mental health challenges.
The Heartwood Centre for Women is located in Vancouver on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional lands of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh), and Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nations. It is a 30-bed voluntary inpatient facility with a 90-day treatment program for substance dependency and other concurrent disorders.

Heartwood empowers women to collaborate with their treatment team to develop a client-centred treatment plan.
The team includes physicians, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurses, counsellors, dietitians, social workers, recreational therapists, art therapists, music therapists, acupuncturists, and an Indigenous care coordinator.
