We aim to transform patient and client care throughout British Columbia.
Through research, we aim to transform care and treatment for:
- People with mental health and substance use issues
- People who have been incarcerated or who are currently in custody
- People who have been found not criminally responsible due to a mental disorder
The BCMHSUS Research Institute works in partnership with researchers and academic institutions, clinicians, people with lived and living experience and other stakeholders across BC to:
- Generate new knowledge
- Integrate research evidence developed with people with lived and living experience of health care
- Ground our work in equity, diversity and inclusion and Indigenous health research ethics
